“I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it’s very difficult to find anyone.”

Hello evvybody

Weeeell. I am off work today because of a nasty cold that, combined with asthma, has turned me into a shaken, wretched, cough-ridden creature. I didn't get to sleep until about 1.30 this morning because of this unhappy state and I don't think my poor mummy did either... you could have heard me all over the neighbourhood! I finally understand why BBC costume dramas always have the seriously ill character (nearly always a woman or child) coughing forlornly into a handkerchief. Because after about 3 minutes of straight coughing anyone would be ready to die.

There is a second misfortunate consequence of this illness: I have lost my voice! *insert dreadful morbid music here*
Problem being that I have a choir concert tomorrow in which I am singing a solo. And a play on Saturday in which I am playing a part. Although my optimistic siblings have suggested that, since my character doesn't say anything crucial, I could just mime and use facial expressions... I think not.

Be praying for me, I'm not having fun. Want to chat with people but haven't got the net at home. Am so desperate for contact I would actually make use of a telephone (shock, horror!) but haven't got the ability to converse, what with the nonexistent voice. :(
