Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the fine line between sanity and madness gotten finer?

Hullo
On Friday my boss and her husband gave me four free 'Gold Pass' cinema tickets that expired yesterday so me & my parents raced to the movies on Friday night to catch 'Julie & Julia'... which ended up being sold out. So instead we went to see 'All About Steve'; the second worst film I have ever seen after the horrendous 'Knowing'. It was awful, horrible - simply because it had nothing good in it. No drama, no romance, no action, no (actually funny) sense of humour. It felt like Sandra Bullock was just saying 'I'm an annoying freak and people can like or hate it.' Whereas I never would have picked up on her annoying freakiness until I endured a full feature length film about it.
I had one free ticket left so I arranged with Aimee to go and see 'Julie & Julia'... and again, it was booked out. You think I would have learned. So we saw 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassuss' instead. It was weird. It was very very weird. I was just able to cope with all the Faustian wheeling and dealing with the devil and all the morally questionable themes when I decided to look at it in the light of a fairytale/fable... until I got to the end. Now, a fable has a moral and a fairytale has a point; I don't know what was going on, but it sure as heck was confusing and unsatisfactory. The only character I liked disappeared in the imaginarium inexplicably towards the end and never came back. :(
All in all, I unreccomend it. But not as much as I unreccomend 'All About Steve'. That film ought to be buried in a landfill somewhere.
