I think I should do Nanowrimo every month. The insane procrastination Nano inspires in me might possibly result in a sparklingly clean house and no end of other varieties of non-writerly creativity. Seriously. I have made a loaf of bread and a bowl of jelly, swept two floors, mopped one, nearly completed the folding of two loads and the washing of one load of laundry, washed and vaccuumed my car, made meal plans and done a bucketload of Christmas shopping since the beginning of November. What is wrong with me?! Why can't I be productive on normal days?
Also, I keep forgetting to SAVE things before I turn off my computer for the night, so I've lost another 600 words at least since yesterday. NOT GOOD. Unplanned rewriting is the opposite of fun. And I haven't yet written the 'Why Christmas' thing I promised I'd give Deborah before tomorrow. HNNNNGG.
If you go back into 'MS Word', for example, straight after turning your computer back on the next day, the document should have been autosaved. Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't lost any unsaved work in over five years (unless my computer has chucked a mental and shut down immediately after writing a paragraph).
