Life isn't all fricasseed frogs and eel pie.

Dad and I were having a discussion recently about the new Narnia series. Now, one of my favourite characters was always Puddleglum from The Silver Chair, which I simply can't wait to see as a new movie. Tom Baker played Puddleglum in the BBC version (which I haven't seen) and (even though he's my dad's favourite Doctor Who) Dad says he did a terrible job. We came up with a list of actors who could possibly play a good Puddleglum:

David Tennant

Because he can do anything he wants to. Plus, he's tall & skinny, pointy nose and can do a super droopy face at will - all exceptional traits for a successful Puddleglum.

Paul Bettany

Because he is amazing :) And has fantastic acting range. Besides, can't you just picture his face under that big floppy hat?

Andy Serkis

If he can do Gollum, he can do anything.

Alan Rickman

Even if he is a little too old, I reckon he could pull it off. Definitely.

Hugh Laurie

Pessimistic, British, good actor, comedic... yep, he'd do.

Dad suggested Daniel Craig, but I don't think so. Too broad in the shoulders. Besides, somehow I can't picture him with webbed feet...
