Just finished 'The Woman In White', by Wilkie Collins. It was pretty good: lots of predictable things in it - the strong, plainer sister with the pretty, fair, weak one; the poverty-stricken lover; the blue-blooded cad; the mysterious foreigner... but it was pretty good. And I just discovered (from someone else's blog) that Andrew Lloyd Webber made a musical of it! !!! For me not to have heard of it before it mustn't have been a big success, but I am dying to see it now.
