It is a very sad thing that nowadays there is so little useless information.

My Windows Media playlist is in an odd mood this evening. It keeps giving me depressing passages from different movies to wit: 'Latika's Theme' from Slumdog Millionaire and 'Evacuating London' from The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. I'm not sure what that's about... ah, now it's apologising by playing my favourite Coldplay song: 'The Message' :)

Had a funny moment in the train this morning - I was sitting in my nearly desolate carriage (trains going away from the city are almost never packed on weekday mornings), reading Waverly, when my ear caught the faint strains of Taylor Swift sounds. I took a few moments to identify it as 'You Belong With Me' (7-year-old Juliette's favourite song: she performs it with whiny American accent and actions) and then I looked around to see who could possibly be playing it. To my surprise the carriage was empty - apart from a young man, no older than 24, equipped with iPod and earphones!

'Everything is crumbling around me
Why does everything cost so much money?'

Watched the new BBC 'Sense and Sensibility' last night - it's beautiful. I have an old BBC production on my dollshouse-converted-into-bookshelf/DVD storage-thing: it's awful. The annoying people are cast well... and that's all I can say for it. The cinematography is awful, the costumes and decor are disappointingly tasteless and the very quality of the film itself is poor. But this new one (lent to me by Kristen :) is incredibly awesome. It has all of the qualities my version lacks and more. It's pretty, engaging and, weirdly, the girl who plays Marianne looks exactly like a guy I know, only female.

Toodle-pip!
